Finding A Relationship With Jesus
WELCOME!
Utah Christian Publications exists to show the difference between Mormonism and Biblical Christianity and to show that salvation is only by faith in Jesus Christ and not in joining some religion or by our own religious activity.
Utah Christian Publications exists to help both Christians and Mormons understand how they differ from each other. It also shares the Biblical message of salvation which is a gift from God to those who trust in Jesus Christ alone for salvation. Religious membership and activity can’t save anyone.
What the Mormons think of Christ is a pamphlet published by the LDS Church. On page 2, it says, “Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (known informally by the nickname Mormons) believe the Bible. Indeed, so literally and completely do their beliefs and practices conform to the teachings of the Bible that it is not uncommon to hear informed persons say: ‘If all men believed the Bible, all would be Mormons.’ Bible doctrine is Mormon doctrine, and Mormon doctrine is Bible doctrine. They are one and the same.” But is that really true?
LDS leaders say their Church is a Christian Church, but their scripture says their Church “is the only true and living church upon the face of the whole earth” (Doctrine & Covenants 1:30). Are both true? In 2017 the LDS Church had over 67,000 missionaries who proselyted mostly Christians into Mormonism! That activity shows LDS must believe something that Christians don’t believe or they wouldn’t do that!
In Acts 16:30-31 the Philippian jailer asked, “What must I do to be saved?” Paul and Silas said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved.” Jesus is called “Savior” because “He is able to save them to the uttermost that come to God by Him” (Hebrews 7:25). I Timothy 2:5 says “There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus” and Colossians 2:10 says that we are “complete in Him” (Christ). No church or religious activity can make one any more complete than that!
